Come along on a virtual tour of Canadian Anglican dioceses via their websites and diocesan newspapers, equivalent to BC's Faith Tides (formerly Diocesan Post). Our itinerary follows the Anglican Church of Canada's cycle of prayer (available here).

This week we're in the Diocese of Edmonton, which covers not just the city of Edmonton but the breadth of Alberta, from Jasper to Cold Lake - see their Find-a-Church map here. The diocese was established in 1913; while the first Cathedral of All Saints building predated the diocese, the present Cathedral building is the third, and dates from 1956.

In the week of 24 July 2022, we pray for the Rev. Stephen London, Bishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Edmonton.

About the Bishop

Click here for 'The Song of the Bow', in memory of the children whose lives were lost through the residential school system by Rev Hugh Matheson, rector of Immanuel Anglican Church in Wetaskiwin.

The diocesan paper, shared with the Diocese of Athabasca, is the monthly Messenger; see also the Synod Scene newsletter for weekly updates from around the diocese.
