David serves as Honourary Assistant at St. Philip.
In 1962 David came from England to Canada and the USA. He earned a BA, then took graduate studies at Michigan State University. After a career on both sides of the border working as a family life educator and family therapist, he returned to England to read theology at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. Recently widowed with two young daughters to care for, he found more than enough challenges trying to co-ordinate studies with being a single parent.
After training to be a priest, David and Faith were married in England. Their family came to Canada and David began serving in parish ministries.
Moving to Victoria, David was on staff at St. John the Divine, and following that posting served as Rector of Church of the Advent. David is now retired; drawn by the gentle contemplative spirit of St. Philip, David says he was honoured when asked to assist on Sunday mornings.
