Fr Allen will be the guest preacher for Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral on August 13th!
Christ Church is your cathedral, and you are invited to Evensong any Sunday! But especially for St Philip folks on this Sunday, there will be a tour of the cathedral at 2pm followed by tea served in the Chapter Room, before Evensong at 4pm.
If you're reading ahead, the lessons will be: Psalms 86, 1 Kings 11.41-12.20, Acts 14.8-20.
Choral Evensong takes place at Christ Church Cathedral every Sunday at 4pm and lasts about 45 minutes. This meditative act of devotion is almost entirely sung by the choir, open to people of all faiths and none, and free of charge.
