This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 9 August 2026 and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for the intercessors (leaders of prayers of the people).

This week our diocese prays for the people of  St Peter, Campbell River & St Saviour, Cortes Island

In our ecclesiastical province's cycle of prayer, we pray for the Territory of the People and Bishop Clara Plamondon.

We continue to hold the community of Tumbler Ridge in our prayers.  

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev. Helen Kennedy, Bishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Qu’Appelle.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Episcopal Church (USA).

Collect: Ever-faithful One, you answer the cries of all who call upon your name. Give us grace to trust in you, so that we may walk faithfully amidst the storms of life; through Jesus the Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
