We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our diocesan cycle of prayer this week, we pray for the chaplains and chaplaincies throughout the diocese. In our provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the clergy and people of the Diocese of Kootenay and Archbishop Lynne McNaughton.
This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for the Primate, Linda Nicholls, The Venerable Alan Perry, General Secretary, and the staff of the General Secretary’s Office.
In the Anglican Council of Indigenous People cycle of prayer, we pray for Indigenous Archbishop Chris Harper, and for Indigenous Peoples in the Diocese of Nova Scotia.
In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea.
Collect: God of light, who sent the Baptist to offer hope and to face the world’s scorn: open our ears to hear the cries from the margins, exposing our fears, sharpening our vision and calling us to faith; through Jesus Christ, the one who is to come. Amen. (Prayers for an Inclusive Church (2009) alt.)
