This week in prayer

Readings and prayers for Sunday 18 February 2024 and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our diocesan cycle of prayer this week, we pray for the people of Holy Trinity, Sooke. In our provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the clergy and people of the Diocese of Caledonia and Bishop David Lehmann.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Most Rev. David Edwards, Archbishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Fredericton, and for an end to human trafficking and modern slavery.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for the Province of the Episcopal Church of Sudan.

Collect:  God of Wilderness,
 your Son battled with the powers of darkness
and grew closer to you in the desert:
help us to use these forty days
to grow in wisdom and prayer,
so that we may witness to your saving love
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
