This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 5 July 2026 and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, our 8am and 9.30am Sunday congregations pray for each other.

This week our diocese prays for the parish of St John Gualbert, Port McNeill.

In our ecclesiastical province's cycle of prayer, we pray for the Territory of the People and Bishop Clara Plamondon.

We continue to hold the community of Tumbler Ridge in our prayers.  

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev. David Greenwood, Bishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Athabasca; and for Lutheran, Anglican, and Moravian summer camping ministries.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Anglican Church of South America.

Collect: Lord of heaven and earth, whose Son came eating and drinking, exposing the rivalry that tears the world apart: may we share his feast and friendship and lay our burdens in his liberating arms; through Jesus Christ, Wisdom’s child.  Amen.  Prayers for an Inclusive Church (2009)
