St Philip’s Jazz Vespers is the longest running Vespers in Victoria.
From its humble beginning during Christmas 2009 to its ninth season in St. Philip, Jazz Vespers continues to evolve. The series features an acoustic jazz format with piano, acoustic bass and drums playing sacred music re-voiced into a “swinging jazz“ format.
Produced by drummer Bob Watts, the series features several of Victoria’s best musicians. Pianists Karel Roessingh / Thomas Kinzel / Pablo Cardenas and vocalists Maureen Washington and Christina Helene and many others continue to grace our program.
The performances start at 7:30 on the first Sunday of each month.
