Parish videos this weekend - an invitation

Paul and Melissa Stabell from Postmeridian Productions will be joining us this weekend (Nov 7-9) to help us get out "the invite" to our wider community.  As St. Philip adapts to a changing society and culture we're looking for ways to bridge the gap between our wonderful parish community and people who would like to give us a try and possibly join our community if they but knew we existed!  Social media, which no doubt has deeply troubling and harmful aspects, is the primary way people in our society discover new community possibilities, including church.

One of the most helpful ways for people to connect to us is to hear our stories, your stories, of hope, resilience and faith.  Paul and Melissa would like to interview parishioners and take some videos and clips that they will post to our Church's Instagram, Facebook and Website.  If you've not seen any of the ones that have been posted thus far I'd encourage you to check them out on our Instagram page (@stphilipoakbay).

Videoing opportunities will take place on Saturday (Nov 8th), 10am-1pm in half-hour slots.  If you aven't signed up yet, please contact Fr. Allen incumbent@stphilipvictoria.ca. Here's your chance to help us share the Good News through the wonder of our different faces, voices and experiences!  St. Philip is us, partnering with Christ! Below are some sample questions and ideas.
