Throughout Matthew 18, Jesus expresses strongly his sense of the importance of maintaining human connections. In Matthew 18:15-20 he alludes to the fact that at times it is challenging to maintain human relationships. But the community is essential as a place where we are able to experience and grow in the freedom for which Christ has set us free.
