This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 10 November and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for the team of Powerpoint slide creators & operators.

This week our diocese lifts up in prayer our own parish of St Philip Oak Bay. 

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for: the members of the Council of General Synod; for those who have died in war; and for renewed commitment to work for peace.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for the The Church of South India (United).

Collect:  Father of all,  we pray to you for those we love, but see no longer. Grant them your peace, let light perpetual shine upon them, and in your loving wisdom and almighty power, work in them the good purpose of your perfect will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
