Prayers and readings for Sunday 1 June and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop; Allen, our rector; and particularly for Rebecca, our deacon, as they prepare for ordination to the priesthood. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for our parish administrator.

This week our diocese prays for the parish of St John the Divine, Courtenay, and their incumbent, Alastair Hunting.

In the ecclesiastical provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the Diocese of New Westminster and Archbishop John Stephens.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev. Andrew Asbil, Bishop; The Rt. Rev. Kevin Robertson, Suffragan Bishop; The Rt. Rev. Riscylla Shaw, Suffragan Bishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Toronto. On this Jerusalem and the Holy Land Sunday, we pray for The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, and for peace in the Middle East.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Anglican Church of Korea.

Collect: Holy God, send your promised Spirit of revelation and wisdom, so that, in the blessed freedom of hope, we may witness to the grace of forgiveness and sing with joy to the One who makes us one.
