This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 7 December, the second Sunday in Advent, and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for those who care for our gardens and grounds.

This week our diocese prays for the people of Trinity Anglican & Lutheran, Port Alberni.

In our ecclesiastical province's cycle of prayer, we pray for the Territory of the People and Bishop Clara Plamondon.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for the people of the Anglican Church of Canada.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Church of Bangladesh.

Collect:  God of the keen blade, which cuts the roots of arrogant power: you raise voices of promise in the dry lands of our desire, children of faith from the stones of the earth; make us ready to receive the Spirit and the fire of love, wild and fierce and free; through Jesus Christ, the one who is to come.
