This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 1 February 2026 and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for our parish adminstrator.

This week our diocese prays for the people of  St George’s Cadboro Bay and their incumbent, Christine Conkin. 

In our ecclesiastical province's cycle of prayer, we pray for the Diocese of New Westminster and Archbishop John Stephens.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Provincial Synod of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Church of England 

Collect: God who chooses weak power, you shame the strong through the weakness of love and turn upside down the wisdom of the world: may your blessing dwell with the poor and hungry, the grieving and abused; may your peaceful revolution be our joy and our reward; through Jesus Christ, the power of God.  Amen.
