Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Prayers and readings for Sunday 5 April 2026 and the following week:
We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for our Synod delegates and alternates.
This week our diocese prays for those discerning Holy Orders in the Diocese.
In our ecclesiastical province's cycle of prayer, we pray for the Diocese of Kootenay and Bishop Lynne McNaughton.
We continue to hold the community of Tumbler Ridge in our prayers. We pray for all the people of the town and in particular the families of all those who have died. We pray for all affected for by the devastating news: parents, family members, fellow students, teachers, first responders, medical teams, neighbours, those with links to the town and the province as a whole. We pray that they will know of God’s love and peace in this time. That they will know that they do not walk alone in the dark valley. That they will know the love of neighbour supporting in any way possible. That all of us deeply touched by this tragedy may know God’s hope.
This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Most Rev. Anne Germond, Metropolitan, and the people and clergy of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario.
In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for La Iglesia Anglicana de Mexico, and for the peace of Jerusalem.
Collect: Lord of life and power,
through the mighty resurrection of your Son,
you have overcome the old order of sin and death
and have made all things new in him.
May we, being dead to sin
and alive to you in Jesus Christ,
reign with him in glory,
who with you and the Holy Spirit is alive,
one God, now and for ever.
