Feedback on Flexible Space Needed

Feedback on Flexible Space Needed

Our experiment creating a flexible space at the back of the church by removing pews has been going for more than 2 months.  We are considering whether to keep the flexible space as it is or put the pews back — so your feedback would be helpful.  Please let us know your views by contacting any member of parish council or the wardens lanthony@stphilipvictoria.ca or cmclean@stphilipvictoria.ca.

Hello friends.

We hope this finds you well. Brenda, Caleb, and I would like to invite you to the upcoming Victoria Momentum 2024, a fundraiser for Intervarsity's campus ministry and Pioneer Pacific Camp, scheduled for Saturday November 16th from 7:00-9:00 PM at Victoria Alliance Church (1792 Townley St). Neighbourhood leafletting

Neighbourhood leafletting

Saturday, November 30, 2024

Friends, as the beauty of the fall unfolds around us, we're reminded that Advent approaches.  That's a pun on what the word means (the Coming) , which I hope you'll forgive!  Advent and the season of Christmas is a time of anticipation and celebration.  This year we'd like to invite our neighbours to participate in the events we've planned for our parish.  The act of invitation is itself a joyful anticipation of God's presence with us! I look forward to participating with you on Nov 30th at 10 am -- 11:30 as we socialize, enjoy a coffee and stuff a few mailboxes.

-Fr. Allen+

Christmas Volunteering at the Mustard Seed

SAVE THE DATE: Thursday December 19  12pm  – 4:30 pm

Join other St. Philip Parishioners for an afternoon volunteering at the Mustard Seed

St. Philip is organizing a group to volunteer at the Mustard Seed to help hand out Christmas hampers. Several of us volunteered last year. It’s a lot of fun and very nice to help people especially at Christmas time. You must be at least 16 years old to join. Please invite your family and friends even if they don’t attend church!

We need at least 12 people so please come!!! If we have more than 12 people sign up we can do split shifts so even if you are only able to help for part of the time – no problem!

If you’re able to join, please email Jackie: jkprowse1450@gmail.com

Description:

Love spreading holiday joy and making an impact in your community? Join us for our Christmas Hamper distribution event! You'll help distribute hampers filled with food, and holiday treats to individuals in need. It’s a rewarding way to share the season's spirit, connect with others, and make a difference for those facing tough times. This volunteer opportunity is open to individuals aged 16 and older, whether accompanied by a parent or not.

 Location :

The Mustard Seed Street Church and Food Bank
