this Sunday: Newcomers' Welcome Lunch!

Everyone new, or feeling new, to St. Philip is warmly invited to a Newcomers' Lunch on Sunday February 18th at noon.  It will be at Ceal & Ged McLean's, 2018 Romney Rd. [MAP]

If you are new to the church in the past year or reconnecting after some time away, please join us!  The lunch will introduce you to new people and let you learn more about your new church home.  So we can anticipate numbers (and allergies), please sign up on sheets in the narthex, call Ceal 778 967 2473 or email cmclean@stphilipvictoria.ca or contact the church office.

And if you're wondering - hmm, does this definition of "newcomer" include me? - yes, it does!

Tax receipts are ready

2023 tax receipts are ready for collection on the table in the narthex. Please contact Betty Davidson, our Offerings Secretary, with any questions: offerings@stphilipvictoria.ca

St Philip Parish AGM (Vestry) 2024

St Philip Parish AGM (Vestry) 2024

Sunday, February 25, 2024

St Philip Oak Bay will hold its AGM (also known as the Annual Vestry Meeting) in the hall after the 9.30am service on Sunday 25 February 2024. We are working on a remote option for those not able to attend in person. Lunch will be served. We will receive reports, vote on a budget for 2024, and elect our Parish Council. We look forward to 2024 as we serve God by meeting the needs in the world.

The 2024 agenda, 2023 annual reports, and 2024 budget will be circulated via email ahead of the meeting. Print copies will be available in the narthex.

Thanks from Judith

Hello everyone

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you all for your support in the past two months while I have been recovering from a hip and femur fracture.  Your prayers, the many meals provided, and assistance in so many other ways, has contributed so much to my recovery.  With my deepest thanks.  My recovery is ongoing but I hope to be back at church in the coming weeks.
